Data warehouse is becoming an important component of an IT division of all industries nowadays. It provides the values addition to the business in terms of predictions as an outcome of analysis done on historical data about the attributes of the different entities of the business like product, business and geography. Developing and delivering the data warehouse is challenging one for software companies. Manual testing for data ware house testing is time consuming and less accurate. This paper proposes and discusses the automated approach for data warehouse test design from defined mapping, test execution and test reporting based on mapping document which leads to reduction of effort involved in both design and test phase of DWH testing.
